As a gamer, I was constantly jumping between Reddit threads, IGN articles, and game store pages just to figure out what was releasing soon. There was no clean, sortable, up-to-date calendar that showed upcoming games in a simple way. So I built one.

GRC lets you view upcoming video game releases across all major platforms and save them to your own personal wishlist. You can filter by release month, platform, genre, or popularity, or switch to a calendar view to get the month-to-month picture. Every listing includes key details like release date, platform availability, genre, images, and more, so it’s easy to find what you’re looking for fast.

Like all of my solo projects, this was a great opportunity to practice some new technologies and keep my skills sharp. This was a solo build from the ground up. I designed and developed the UI, integrated Twitch's IGDB API, added auth to the backend with Supabase, set up custom filters and sorting logic, and handled the calendar view rendering. Future updates will enable automated data ingestion to improve performance and decrease reliance on the IGDB api.

Next.js for server-side rendering and routing
Supabase for data and auth
Mantine UI for styling and components
IGDB api for game data
Vercel for fast, seamless deployment
